We're so very very excited to be part of TRAUM!!!!

Our wonderful friends Hejira (who you might recognise from our 1st birthday party) are launching a new monthly night this friday 27th at Servant Jazz Quarters in Dalston and we are getting involved in the all the joy...

Mrs Mck is will be whipping up a selection of wonderful pudding treats for each event.

Hejira present TRAUM:

A monthly residency at Servant Jazz Quarters featuring live music, cake, art, DJs and freebies. 

The opening night is this coming Friday 27th of January and will include live music from Hejira and Raisa K (from Micachu & the Shapes), 3 courses of cake from Relay Tea Room, artwork by Duval Timothy including free bowties for all, and DJ sets from Gwilym Gold and Raisa K. 

Hejira will also be releasing the Dust of Dreams Vol. 1: This will be available exclusively to those who attend the event who will take home a card with a unique download code that will give them access to a recording through Hejira's website.

We're back from a nice long break... Back in the shop baking away and of course drinking tea.

it's been a year, so we're celebrating with a big old party! Down south we do it properly with food, drink and music, even a couple party games like when we were kids!

A hot finger supper at Relay Tea Room, 7-10 pm + Pudding and dancing till late across the road at the  Dogstar Ball Room
Live music from emerging hip hop band 2morrows Victory, and the indescribable Hejiera, and who knows maybe some other special guests,
DJ sets from Morgan Zarate (young Turks) and Shakira Kalite so we can dance off all the delicious food,

On the menu we have .....

FIRST COURSE
Yorkshires, roast beef, red onion gravy
Sticky Cranberry, bourbon and lime chicken wings
Buttered Corn bread 
Mini baked potatoes, with creme fraiche and chives
Roasted Vegetable parcels with garlic and parsley butter
Potato blinis and smoked salmon

PUDDING
Our Famous Banoffee pie
Mince pies and cream
Red velvet bon bons
Lemon cheese cake
Raspberry and champagne jelly

A Whole Month

I can't believe it's been a whole month since we last blogged!! It's probably because we've been so busy with our new midweek hours and menu, which by the way have been going down a real treat. Lovely big open sandwiches, to put together just how you like seem to be doing the trick. We've also been going through a rather larger amount of cake and scones than previously so that's been keeping us busy too. Oh and we've also been trying to (finally) get our Branding and Sign sorted, which we are pleased to say is coming along splendidly. So much to do so little time! I wished for a 48 hr day last week but never got it! Hopefully we'll catch up with ourselves soon, but with winter very fast approaching, despite a a final weekend of summer last week, we thought we'd add a some hot food to the lunch menu, nothing complicated just good old harty soups and stews, so look out for those on a specials board starting next week! I think that's enough for now, we'll try and follow up pictures x
